![]() In the ISO version, picking the resolution from the launcher reverts it to 640x480, in game is where the crash occurs. I don't have an optical drive plugged in. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the issue is when selecting a resolution (without more details). After that you can launch from Steam again. Try running the launcher that way and select a resolution. Regarding the resolution problem, is that happening in the launcher when you select a resolution from the Display button? If you have KA installed, there should be an icon in the Start menu named "TRON 2.0 - Play without Steam". Daemon Tools shouldn't have been necessary. ![]() And the Unofficial Patch doesn't need an optical drive to be present, either. The only problem with this is it doesn't seem to like KA mod, for instance it crashes if any resolution KA mod adds is chosen. So you don't have an optical drive at all, is that correct? Even so, the vanilla Steam release is not supposed to need one. Not only did it recognise the steam installation but it actually worked. Sorry for not stating this in my post.ģ) Anti-Virus on or off does the same thing, not workĤ) Disabled Sound Music and Hardware Sound (which was off anyway) with no effect.ĥ) Shortly after this post went up I tried launching Tron 2.0 from My Computer as I was using Daemon Tools. But Disney released an update to address that, which everyone automatically got.Ģ) I tried verifying the game cache before this post went up and it had no effect. It was an issue during the first week of release on Steam. In there is a DirectX folder, and you can try running the DXSETUP.exe to see if it makes any difference.īeyond that, you could try verifying the integrity of the game cache in Steam, disable any anti-virus/anti-malware, and maybe temporarily disable all sound via the Options button of the launcher.Īs for why the game would ask for a CD. If you go into your Tron 2.0 folder, you'll see a folder named "_CommonRedist". ![]() Originally posted by LDSO:It's just a guess, but based on what you're describing, I suppose it's possible that the version of DirectX that came with the game wasn't installed properly. ![]()
